An example of how a painting develops.
My process of a painting
It starts usually with a picture I have taken on one of our hikes or trips around the Phoenix area or some idea that inspired a painting.
2. I then rough out the image with black paint or acrylics markers to get an idea of how I want things structured
3. Next I use acrylic paints to put a base coat of the colors I want to use.
4. I then go back and start to add more structure and color to the painting. With this one I focused on the mountains and the foreground plus started to add more color for the bushes and under brush.
5. Finally I go back and add the details to the sky and the skull plus some light enhancements to the rest of the landscape.
